Male Superstripe Batik 50% het T+ Albino Blood Python CB18
Blood pythons are a short tailed python from areas such as Southern Thailand, Malaysia and surrounding islands. They are available in many colours and are the only species of short tailed python with a red colour phase.
Blood pythons are short, stocky snakes which reach around 5ft and are heavily bodied, making them feel like a large snake in a small package. They are ideal pets for those without the space for one of the larger species such as reticulated pythons and boas.
Batik and superstripe are both codom genes, the single gene batiks present a freckled , busy pattern where the super is a completely patternless snake, the stripe gene presents itself as a thin stripe in the single gene and a thick, often tri striped animal in the codom version. All animals are also poss het for the T+ albino gene, which in the visual example is a very bright, orange/red animal.
Blood pythons enjoy lower temperatures of around 80-82 degrees with a night time drop to around 78. Warm temperatures can cause stress and so should be avoided with this species.
